Sam was a tomboy. In 1988 she was appointed vice president of an all-boys treehouse club, with her bid for presidency rejected on a technicality.
Later, a degree in Early Childhood Education would give her the ability to shape chaos and run a room full of people who don't want to be run. It was an unconventional road to production, but twenty years later Sam has produced campaigns for Australian and international artists, agencies and brands.
In 2023 she founded Tomboy on the belief that production is more than spreadsheets and open tabs, it’s a deeply human craft that truly deserves a seat at the creative round table.

After years of being everyone's designated organiser, Milly found her place in production - where carrying emergency supplies, having all 500 tabs open and always knowing where everything is became a surprisingly useful career skill.
Coming from a marketing background, she brings a warm, people-first energy to production, a natural eye for detail and a knack for making people feel at ease. Known for the smile that never leaves her face, even when the chaos hits hardest. Usually doing three things at once, and somehow always prepared for a fourth.
Maddy didn’t choose the production life, the production life chose her.
Somewhere between shaking cocktails, travelling the world and a stint as a makeup artist (where she fell hard for on-set life), Maddy unexpectedly discovered the wonderful world of call sheets and schedules; it was love at first spreadsheet.
After ‘that’s a wrap’ is called and the clipboards go away, Maddy is a Mum to two little producers-in-waiting, who keep her logistics game razor sharp.
